I make music in many different genres. Currently, my focus is in electronic music, but I have written for classical formats including string quartet, Pierrot ensemble, and solo piano. Specializing in music technology, I also look to teach people techniques for recording, producing, and preparing for live performance using a digital audio workstation.
Although I developed interest in music early on, I never considered a formal education in it until after I was already in college. I declared a major in Composition, and a minor in Arts Technology. This allowed me to pursue my passion for software and tech, while also learning music theory and doing interdisciplinary projects.
I have learned a lot from watching content creators in this niche of the industry. Dave Linnenbank has worked on some incredibly helpful and inspiring videos for Bitwig. KJ Sawka (of Pendulum) shows us how drummers can make the most out of Ableton Live. I love to see communities of artists helping each other out, especially when we have to work around advanced concepts. That's what I ultimately want to contribute to.
